Gong Integration
Connect Gong to Poggio so agents can use call intelligence for account context and coaching
Overview
The Gong integration lets Poggio use call intelligence when answering account questions and coaching reps. Once connected, Poggio can find recent calls, read Gong-generated call details, and retrieve transcripts for relevant calls.
Prerequisites
- Workspace admin access in Poggio.
- Your Gong API base URL, for example
https://us-1234.api.gong.io. - A Gong access key and access secret with access to the call data and transcripts you want Poggio to use.
Setup
- In Poggio, go to Settings > Integrations.
- Select Gong.
- Enter your Base URL, Access key, and Access secret.
- Click Create configuration.
After setup, the Gong integration appears as connected on the Integrations page.
Updating or Removing Gong
To rotate credentials or change the base URL, open the Gong settings page and click Edit configuration. Enter the new values and save the update. The access secret is redacted after saving, so enter a new secret whenever you update the configuration.
To disconnect Gong, click Delete configuration on the Gong settings page.
How Poggio Uses Gong
When Gong is connected, Poggio can use Gong as a read-only source for:
- Recent call metadata, including titles, dates, duration, and participants.
- Gong-generated call details such as summaries, highlights, topics, trackers, and key questions.
- Speaker-attributed transcripts for relevant calls.
Poggio uses this context to enrich account answers, prep, follow-up, and coaching. Poggio does not create or update records in Gong.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Resolution |
|---|---|
| Gong is not listed in Integrations | Contact Poggio support to enable the Gong integration for your workspace. |
| Configuration will not save | Check that the base URL includes https:// and the correct Gong tenant host. |
| Poggio cannot find expected calls | Confirm the Gong credentials can access those calls and transcripts. Some call details are only available after Gong has processed the call. |
| Updating credentials fails | Re-enter the access secret. The saved secret is redacted and cannot be reused automatically during an update. |
